3. Who should take advantage of an Omnichannel strategy and what are the first steps you recommend getting started on this?

Merchants that already has a brick-and-mortar and an online store should think about implementing an Omnichannel strategy. Having different sales channels that are not synced with each other not only leads to customers’ dissatisfaction, but also to a competitive disadvantage in the long term – especially since an omnichannel approach is quickly becoming the standard. One of the first steps I would recommend for retailers to get started in omnichannel would be to look at the possibility of implementing a ROPIS (reserve online, pick up in store) strategy. The implementation of a reservation process can be implemented easily and fast – without the need of changing critical parts in the checkout process. Furthermore, merchants have the opportunity to implement new KPIs in order to check if they are on the right track.
